Ritmo Vivo

Welcome to Ritmo Vivo – Movement, Creativity and Well-Being in Youth Work

Ritmo Vivo is an international training course bringing together youth workers, facilitators and educators interested in exploring movement, creativity and embodied practices as tools for well-being and resilience in youth work.

Held in the natural surroundings of São Miguel Island in the Azores, the training offers a space for experiential learning, reflection and exchange among practitioners working with young people in diverse contexts.

The course introduces participants to the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®, an internationally recognised expressive arts approach that combines movement, visual art and creative writing to access the wisdom of the body and the transformative power of imagination. Through embodied practices and creative exploration, participants discover how artistic and somatic methods can support emotional awareness, self-expression and personal resilience.

The training is facilitated by Audicia Lynne Morley, programme director of Tamalpa UK and founder of Alive Arts, who has been working in the field of movement-based expressive arts for more than 30 years. Her work integrates dance, visual art and creative writing as pathways for personal, interpersonal and social transformation.

Ritmo Vivo invites youth workers to deepen their understanding of body-based learning, creative facilitation and holistic approaches to mental health, while exploring how these practices can be integrated into youth work to support well-being, connection and authentic expression.
